Intestinal worms infect 2 billion people around the world, and of these 300 million suffer severe and permanent damage as a result of the parasites, according to the World Health Organization. The worms can consume up to 20% of a child’s nutritional intake everyday, causing severe malnutrition, under-nutrition, and even death. This is mainly attributed to unsafe drinking water.
All the children attending Maria Auxiliadora suffered from intestinal parasites. To help these children, we organized a health clinic where they were dewormed or treated for any water related conditions. This was done to guarantee the efficacy of the water filter we supplied.
Dental Mobile Unit
Due to poor dental hygiene of the students, our organization arranged a mobile dental unit to conduct dental repairs.
Physical Therapy:
The majority of the special need children at Maria Auxiliadora experience physical issues such as muscular and mobility problems. As a solution, we provided the school with a full size therapeutic pool.
